Set to hit store shelves this June, Simply Spiked Lemonade will debut with four distinct flavors in a partnership between Molson Coors Beverage Company and The Coca-Cola Company.
The “full-flavor” alcoholic drink is inspired by “the country’s no. 1 chilled juice brand” and will bring “real fruit juice credentials to the ready-to-drink alcohol beverage space,” according to Molson Coors in a release about the product officially going on sale this summer.
Simply Spiked Lemonade’s four flavors include signature lemonade, strawberry lemonade, blueberry lemonade and watermelon lemonade, Molson Coors said.
The signature lemonade flavor is described as “bright and refreshing, with a perfect balance of sweet lemonade and fresh, lemony tartness,” while the watermelon lemonade is said to carry “watermelon sweetness complimented by a bright, lemon juice balance,” Molson Coors said.
It added that the two berry flavored lemonades are described as “ripe, jammy strawberry notes combined with an elevated, tart lemonade finish,” for the strawberry flavor, while the blueberry is “unique and refreshing, with ripe blueberry notes blended with smooth lemonade flavor.”
The product will be sold in a four-flavor variety pack with slim cans as well as in 24 oz. standalone cans for select flavors, Molson Coors said. The drink is also 5% alcohol by volume.
The launch of Simply Spiked Lemonade marks the latest collaboration between Molson Coors and The Coca-Cola Company with the two previously having worked together on Topo Chico Hard Seltzer, the company said.
Molson Coors also announced the sale of the lower-calorie Arnold Palmer Spiked Lite in late April, which will debut for sale in 15 states, including Massachusetts, this month.
