Langs Jamaican Rum first reached Scotland back in the Victorian era, and excitingly was relaunched in the country recently. In September 2020 the fruity flavoured Langs Banana Rum hit the shelves(again) and now the next two flavours have arrived; Mango & Ginger and Pineapple.
They both sound delicious, and exactly what we need to transport us to the beach that lives in our daydreams.
Langs Mango & Ginger Rum — best served neat or with pineapple juice — is described as having: “Notes of Mango coulis, chewy meringue, and vanilla hitting the nose, and a thick and sweet palate of ripe mango, peach, lime, and crystallised ginger building in a long-spiced finish.”
Meanwhile Langs Pineapple Rum boasts:”A nose of juicy pineapple, coconut, and raisin ice cream, and a palate of fizzy pineapple balanced with rich caramel and cinnamon.” The brand promises a mild finish with fruits and spiced oak, and recommends serving it with cranberry juice and freshly squeezed lime.
Spiced rums are ideal for festive cocktails with their warming combo of sweet and spice, and we’re already planning what delicious concoctions we can use these two in.
