It’s the most wonderful time of the year; whether you like peppermint bark, Hershey kisses, or weird flavored candy canes, the holiday season isn’t complete without treats! I tried the newest holiday candies, chocolates, and straight-up questionable products you can find—here’s the lowdown:
Oreo Candy Canes
This is a great alternative for chocolate lovers. If you aren’t a fan of peppermint but still want something festive to snack on, this Oreo candy cane is perfect, however, it tastes more like chocolate than Oreos.
Bacon Candy Canes
I know, I know. I too am confused. This does not taste like bacon though. It’s more like a peppermint candy cane that has been sitting in the sun for a few hours: bland and tasteless.
Ketchup Candy Canes
Run to your kitchen, grab a bottle of ketchup, then squirt it in your mouth; that’s exactly what these taste like!
Jolly Rancher Candy Canes
You get a variety of flavors in this pack: strawberry, mixed berries and watermelon. If you love Jolly Ranchers, you’re going to love these.
SweeTarts Candy Canes
I love these! You still get the experience of the chewy texture but in a candy cane form! The flavors are cherry, green apple, and blue punch.
Mac & Cheese Candy Canes
I understand why they wanted to create this macaroni and cheese flavor since it’s the perfect comfort food for the holidays but I found ZERO comfort in it. On the contrary, I felt extremely uncomfortable trying this flavor…it was like eating stale socks.
Clam Candy Canes
An abomination, period!
Ham Candy Canes
Ham yourself a Merry Christmas by cutting the calories eating these ham candy canes instead of a regular slice of ham. (I am kidding. Possibly.) The flavor is SPOT ON. How did they do that?!
Pickle Candy Canes
Out of all of the weird flavored candy canes I tried, these were my favorite! It was as if I were eating an actual dill pickle but in candy form. The flavor was surprisingly satisfying.
Soda Flavored Candy Canes
I was blown away at how accurate these flavors were. The candy cane A&W, 7-Up, and Dr. Pepper tastes exactly like the sodas, fizz and all.
Life Savers Candy Canes
This pack had the most variety out of any of the other flavored candy canes. You get five flavors to choose from: cherry, pineapple, orange, raspberry, and watermelon.
Warhead Candy Canes
These are a different take on the original Warheads. Normally, they hit you with the sour first then the sweet taste, these are the complete opposite. I love that they give you a new experience with their holiday version.
…That was a lot of candy canes. Let’s transition to chocolate!
Lindt Snickerdoodle, Hot Cocoa & Peppermint
These are the perfect stocking stuffers! This chocolate melts in your mouth no matter the flavor. Lindt is quality chocolate with top notch flavors, you can easily eat the whole bag in one sitting.
Hershey’s Kisses Candy Cane, Hot Cocoa & Sugar Cookie
Ideal for the candy bowl at holiday parties and family gatherings these iconic chocolate candies never fail. Every year they get more creative by adding new flavors that sweeten up your holiday!
M&M’s Holiday Sugar Cookies, Mint, Peppermint, & Fudge Brownie Candies
Like Hershey’s, M&Ms alway bring their A-game during the holiday season. The red, green, and white colors add such a fun Christmas flare to their candy. Out of these four holiday flavors I have to say the peppermint was my favorite, after one handful it was as if I was transported to the North Pole.
Oreo Gingerbread Cookies
WOW! The creme in the middle is infused with peppermint and on the outside are two soft Oreo cookies. What a wonderful take on the classic gingerbread cookie!
Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Snowmen & Ghirardelli Sugar Cookie Squares
A treat in the form of a snowman? Yes, please! Any holiday design can elevate an already delicious chocolate, which makes Ghirardelli stand out from the rest.
Williams-Sonoma Peppermint Snaps, Bark & Chow
You’re going to have to watch the full video for my review on this but let me just say this selection was my favorite of the day!
