Position: Lab technician/junior flavourist

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Elaborate flavour creation;
- Perform flavour matching;
- Application (product) testing and analysis;
- Problem solving/troubleshooting in the lab during flavour creation and applications testing, both with colleagues and clients;
- Flexibility to learn a variety of tasks in the laboratories;
- Use, calibration, and interpretation of analytical equipment: Refractometer, Densimeter, GCFID, GCMS;
- Respect and enforce all regulatory, safety, and certification standards;
- Recommend and/or perform general cleaning in the Chemistry laboratories;
- General laboratory work;
- Work in a team environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Food science, chemistry or relevant fields;
- Bilingual, French/English (written and oral);
- Excellent communications skills in both French and English
- Project management knowledge;
- Ability to prepare and organize laboratory and demonstration materials;
- Ability to react quickly and make on-the-spot modifications according to client’s feedback;
- Business software proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
