Tesco have lifted the lid on its festive range and it looks tastier than ever.
Not only were we lucky enough to see what the store will offer shoppers this year we got our first glimpse of Christmas in JULY!
The supermarket favourites let us in to see some of its brand new range which includes unicorn Christmas cakes and brand new pigs in blankets.
It all looks so delicious and here’s a sneak peak.
So for us, the highlight of every Christmas dinner is the pigs in blankets.
Now, meet the pigs in duvets! Tesco are celebrating this absolute MUST with a new take on the family favourite.
The pigs in duvets are definitely going to be one of the hits for a Christmas feast this year.
Tesco have also purposely targeted vegan shoppers with this year’s options.
There are plenty of these vegan alternatives for over the Christmas period (and for the record they taste unbelievable).
A whole host of vegan choices are available with butternut squash and cauliflower alternatives for the main event – the reveal of the Christmas Turkey.
Here’s the vegan alternative for a Beef Wellington – meet the cauliflower wellington – and priced at just £6, it’s the perfect centre piece.
This British-grown whole cauliflower is generously coated in turmeric oil, followed by a mushroom and butternut squash Duxelles sauce, rich in red wine and warming Christmas spices of cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon and then carefully hand-wrapped in golden, flaky puff pastry.
But, let’s not forget the meats which most will showcase at their Christmas Day lunch. The store has an unbelievable choice this year including the Finest Free Range Narragansett Whole Turkey, 5.26-6.51kg, £9/kg- but plenty of different things to try including easy carve duck with cherry stuffing, crackling gammon with maple and bourbon glaze and more!
Also, shoppers can enjoy the stores cheese board variety packs and they come complete with name tags for when you have guests over so you will never lose track of which cheese is which.
And that’s not all for the cheese lovers Tesco will be launching a brand new Christmas Pudding Cheese.
For £2.50- this 200g Christmas pudding-inspired White Stilton with added cinnamon, raisins and rum to make it extra Christmassy. Presented in a wax truckle that looks like a Christmas pudding to add festive fun and the ‘wow factor’ to any cheese board.
The traditional Christmas Pudding might not be for everyone and the store has certainly kept that in mind with some of it’s dessert choices.
Here is the Blackforest Chocolate Wreath which we think will be a sell out.
The striking alternative from the traditional festive cake is just £5 and how beautiful is that going to look for family guests over at Christmas?
And for the grand finale – a unicorn cake!
How can they not have a unicorn cake this Christmas?
For just £10- A rich, triple-layered chocolate cake with a real ‘wow’ factor, tapping into the current unicorn trend. Filled and covered with chocolate-flavoured, cookie-crumb frosting, this gorgeous dessert is adorned with edible decorations including a Rudolph-inspired red nose for little (and not so little) unicorn-lovers to enjoy.
