While bacon and bourbon have always been staples, both are seeing an increased popularity at the consumer level. Bacon is in-demand as low-carb, high-fat diets, like Whole30, Keto and Paleo, have become trendy lifestyle choices. Additionally, as the craft cocktail movement continues to move forward, bourbon has taken on a life of its own.

Now, Stonewall Kitchen is getting into the bacon and bourbon game with the launch of two new products — bacon queso and organic bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup.

The company’s bacon queso combines the taste of creamy cheddar cheese with the smoky, salty flavor of real bacon. The gluten-free product can be used as a dip or condiment. It has a suggested retail price of $7.50.

The organic bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup is made with New England-sourced maple sap. That sap, said Stonewall Kitchen, is boiled down and aged in empty bourbon barrels, infusing each finished bottle with a complex, caramel-like flavor.  It has a suggested retail price of $19.95. It is also gluten-free and non-GMO.

The company will be rolling out new goods during the second half of the year. Many of these will be on display at the 2019 Atlanta International Gift + Home Furnishings Market, which is set to take place next month.
