  • Korean BBQ Sauce and Bourbon & Cajun BBQ Sauce cater to Brits’ growing love of grilling

Luxury condiment producer Stokes Sauces has revealed two new additions to its range of premium sauces.

The new Korean BBQ Sauce and Bourbon & Cajun BBQ Sauce join a line-up of BBQ favourites that includes Tomato Ketchup, Real Mayonnaise and Sweet & Sticky BBQ Sauce.

The new launches follow a BBQ boom across the UK over the past few years, which has led to a wider variety of exotic condiments that cater to people’s search for more unique options. This year, as people are expected to stay home during the pandemic, it’s expected to be an even busier barbecue season.

Founder of Stokes Sauces, Rick Sheepshanks, commented: “The new range brings something different to your standard bangers and burger fare – authentic flavours from around the world that add the wow factor people may be missing from not eating out. These new products tap into the consumer trend for international cuisine, notably the interest in Korean flavours, which is in continued growth.”

With a rich, dark fruit flavour, the Korean BBQ Sauce is comprised of spices, soya and Mirin wine for an authentic taste, and is ideal for drizzling over BBQ meat, as a dipping sauce or to add a Korean twist to a stir-fry.

The Bourbon & Cajun BBQ Sauce, meanwhile, is inspired by flavours from the other side of the Pacific. The sweet and spicy sauce blends Louisiana-style Cajun seasoning and black treacle with an added kick of Kentucky Bourbon that results in a caramelised flavour on the grill. The sauce is perfect for serving as a dipping sauce or marinating meat.
