The Shipping/Receiving clerk will perform typical tasks related to this post, including more specifically:

  • Arrange for carrier vehicle or pickup;
  • Compare the amount and identification numbers of goods against orders;
  • Post weight and shipment charges;
  • Maintain files of shipping records;
  • Authenticate receipt of shipments alongside bills of lading, invoices or other records;
  • Record shortages and eliminate damaged merchandise;
  • Route products to departments;
  • Insert merchandise into pallets;
  • Attach identifying information and delivery instructions on containers;
  • Organize records of goods shipped.

Experience and skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Lift truck permit and operational experience a must;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Sound business software skills (Word,Excel);
  • Bilingual: French / English both oral and written;
  • Be able to operate under various accredited standards such as FSSC22000, GMP, AIB, EcoCert and Kosher (MK)
  • SIMDUT certification/dangerous materials handling is an asset.

Quality assurance technician

Position: Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Dollard-des-Ormeaux

Department: Quality Assurance

Status: Full time

Availability: Immediate

Major Tasks & Duties:

  • Primary duties include preparation of technical documentation such as certificates of analysis, specification sheets, Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS), allergen, GMO, nutritional sheets, etc.
  • Assist the regulatory coordinator in documentation and regulatory tasks
  • Filling out technical questionnaires
  • Manage the filing of supplier’s documentation
  • Work as technical support for R&D, sales, QC & customer service
  • Answer questions about international regulations

Qualifications:

  • Preferred college diploma or university degree in food science or related discipline, and/or equivalent related experience
  • Food safety/HACCP/GFSI knowledge is required
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer/Microsoft office skills
  • Multi-tasking capabilities and willingness to learn
  • Must be open and flexible to change, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High work standards
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to make timely and factual decisions and recommendations
  • Ability to provide work direction and instructions to assisting staff
  • Strong knowledge of current GMP and Quality System concept
  • English & French proficiency– written & oral
